How can an accounting firm get clients in Brazil?
Firms that grow predictably pick niches (health, tech, construction, services), filter companies in those niches by city and opening date in the CNPJ registry, and run a consultative WhatsApp and email approach with follow-ups. Newly opened companies and those preparing for Brazil's tax reform tend to be the most receptive. 1Lead builds these lists and automates the sequence.

What slows prospecting down
Referral-only growth
The client base grows slowly and depends on referrals.
Price competition
Without a niche, conversations become a fee comparison with online accountants.
No time to sell
Month-end closes and filings fill the partners' calendars.
Who to prospect in Brazil
Segments most likely to buy and the CNAE codes to find them. Click through for details on each CNAE.
Newly opened companies (any segment)
Use the opening date filter: new companies are setting up tax routines and may switch from the accountant who registered them.
Clinics and health professionals
Incorporated doctors and dentists need specialized accounting and cannot use MEI.
Restaurants and snack bars
Heavy tax routine: inventory, payroll and consumption taxes.
Consultancies and service providers
Owner pay, profit distribution and tax regime choice.
How it works in 1Lead
- Describe your ideal customerOne sentence about who you want to reach. AI suggests CNAE codes, adjacent segments and filters.
- Refine the listCombine primary and secondary CNAE, city, neighborhood, size, opening date and status. Save it as a segment.
- Launch the sequenceEmail and WhatsApp with automatic follow-ups that stop when the company replies.
- Track it in the CRMEvery reply becomes an opportunity in the pipeline, with a suggested next step.
Example: filter companies opened in the last 90 days with health and tech CNAE codes and save it as a segment; new matches appear in future searches. Send messages in Brazilian Portuguese.
A sequence you can start with
- Hi [Name]! I saw [Company] recently opened in [city], congratulations! We specialize in [niche]. Can I send you a checklist of first-year obligations?
- Subject: [Company]'s first 12 months. Here is the checklist, plus where [niche] companies often overpay taxes. Happy to review your setup, no strings attached.
- Hi [Name]! Did you see the checklist? With the tax reform, it's worth reviewing your regime this year. 20 minutes?
- Closing the loop. If you need [niche] accounting later, just reply.
Signals that the timing is right
- Opened in the last 30 to 90 days: still defining processes and suppliers.
- New branch: more filings and consolidation needs.
- Tax reform (IBS and CBS): the transition through 2033 is a natural reason to review regime and processes.

Frequently asked questions
Can Brazilian accountants prospect actively?
Yes. The accountants' code of ethics (NBC PG 01) does not forbid prospecting; it prohibits practices such as undercutting fees and unfair competition.
Does it work for finance BPO?
Yes. Filter EPP-and-larger companies, which usually have enough financial volume to outsource payables, receivables and reconciliation.
Where does the company data come from?
From Brazil's public CNPJ registry: CNAE codes, address, company size, share capital, opening date, registration status, partners and registered contacts when available. You can filter to companies with contact data only.
Is this compliant with LGPD?
1Lead works with public business data and sequences that stop when someone replies or opts out. Each company remains responsible for using a valid legal basis, such as legitimate interest, and transparent messages.
